Citing pandemic’s ‘unprecedented’ impact on November vote, Pritzker asks election officials to put federal funds behind drop boxes, election judge recruitment squib

Anticipating “the most logistically challenging election of our lifetimes” amid the coronavirus pandemic, Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Wednesday asked state election officials to redirect at least $4 million in federal funding to expand the availability of mail-in-ballot drop boxes and to assist with recruiting election judges.
