Singapore court acquits Nigerian man of drug trafficking, reversing its own decision squib

In a rare move, Singapore’s Court of Appeal on Thursday reversed its own decision to convict a Nigerian man of a capital drug trafficking charge, almost a decade after he was arrested.Ilechukwu Uchechukwu Chukwudi is now a free man after being held in remand since his arrest in late 2011.The apex court ruled 4-1 to acquit him, with Judge of Appeal Tay Yong Kwang dissenting.
